If you are interested in buying property on the last unspoiled stretch of Florida coastline let me show you the way. Cape San Blas, Florida was ranked number one beach in the U. S. in 2002. It is a twenty mile peninsula with ten miles of state park on one end and Eglin Air Force Base property in the middle. There is very limited land for development. The Gulf of Mexico is on one side, with spectacular sun sets over the water, and St. Joe Bay is on the other. St. Joe bay is the only bay in Florida not influenced by any fresh water. It is very salty and full of sea life including sea turtles, horseshoe crabs, scallops, rays and many species of fish including tarpon, speckled trout, redfish, flounder, cobia, tripletail, etc. etc. etc. On the inland side of the bay is Port Saint Joe the home of St. Joe Company the largest landholder in Florida. They are in the early stages of Development inland and will do it right! This is a big time growth area.
 I was born and raised in Fort Walton Beach. I remember Destin when the Green Knight at the end of Main Street on Hwy 98 was the last landmark, it was all woods past there. Destin was a small fishing village similar to Port Saint Joe. Now it has become crowded, the water is not as clean as it used to be. There are too many boats and the traffic has become unbearable. On the positive side the shopping is unlimited and the night life is grand. It’s still a beautiful area but everyone knows about it.
